We had reservations so it was quick seating and plentiful of space. Every staff member was friendly and helped us with everything we asked of. The food was delicious. A lot of different textures, flavors, and colors. The added touch of flowers, made them cute and vibrant. We came for the happy hour oysters! My favorite was the lobster bun. Great date night dinner place.

Hands down the best tasting menu we've have in Portland (i.e., the Let-Us-Feed-You option for $90 a person). Waitress said it was 3 courses plus dessert.... but boy was that undersold!! They came 8-9 times to our table to drop off food each time. The first oyster & mussel course was outstanding!! It was a huge platter for our table of 4 (see photo). The mussels in coconut curry were delectable. It was followed by hamachi crudo, yellowfin tuna, pepperocini hushpuppies, burrata arugula with a freshly baked flatbread, and blistered shishito peppers. A new experience was getting served magnolia blossoms stuffed with herbed ricotta... a beautiful and delicious addition not on the menu. Then they say it's time for the entree! There was a plate of scallops and a salad with carrot puree... followed by a whole deboned cedar plank smoked rainbow trout which was superb! Then they say they're almost done and it's time for dessert. They bring 3 plates: pear ice cream with sesame brittle, chocolate cake with passion fruit sorbet, caramel sauce & peanut brittle, and a Meyer lemon tart. Hard to pick a favorite since everything was super tasty. Service was excellent. View into the kitchen was a fun experience. The $90 per person option was a superb deal! Can't wait to do it again!

Made reservations on NYE to finally try Jacqueline. This spot has been on my radar for a few years. I had heard from multiple people that it is fantastic. Our GPS led us to the wrong place and we did not realize until after we walked a block. When we finally got to Jacqueline, staff was friendly and inviting, despite our tardiness. New Years Eve had a Prix Fixe Menu. We opted for the wine pairings. First up, an incredible seafood tower. -summer blues oysters from Hama Hama Oyster Co -smoked Totten inlet mussels w/tom khaki , nam Jim & crispy garlic -yellowfin tuna, ruby red grapefruit, mojo de ajo, pickled serrano, siso -hamachi crudo, charred pickled pineapple, peanuts, mam nem, lime leaf, mint shrimp cocktail w/ Calabrian Chile cocktail sauce. I could have been done here, but no, this was just the start. Next: Maine lobster, lobster bun grilled Belgian endive w/smoked oyster Caesar, boquerones & breadcrumbs Then we had opted for an additional course of champagne & caviar. Why not? It was NYE decadence. Back to the Prix Fixe. Salt Cod cappelletti w/uni butter, bottarga & chervil grilled chinook salmon w/caviar & saffron beurre blanc, celery root cream & black truffles Finally, sponge cake w/ zabaglione, amaretti, chocolate, caramel cara & Campari sorbet. I recall some additional bites, but I did not take notes. It was a perfect NYE dinner. A tough night to pull it off, but Jacqueline delivered. Highly recommend.

I recently relocated to Portland from Louisville, KY and Jacqueline was my first nicer meal out on the town. I made reservations for 5.15 to take advantage of their excellent $1oyster happy hour. There was a line down the block when we arrived at 5-I highly recommend making a reservation, and you can go to the front of the line and let the host know you have a res. My partner and I ordered two dozen of the happy hour oysters--I can't remember the variety, but they're from WA and they were bright and briny. We also ordered the focaccia, endive caesar, hamachi crudo, and the sea bass. Everything was incredible! It was a good amount of food. For everything including a glass of wine, cider, and beer, the bill was $153. A 20% gratuity is automatically included. A fair price for an excellent meal out. This is a place I will definitely be returning to, and I look forward to bringing out of town guests here!

I had there oysters during the happy hour. We got two dozen because they tasted so fresh! It left very clean after taste as well. I can't wait to try their other dishes.

I've been waiting for a year to go to Jacqueline! And it did not disappoint. They are known for their oysters, and I highly suggest getting them. Everything else we ordered on the menu was so tasty. Full of flavor. The cocktails were also nicely timed and made well. Staff was very friendly. It was an appropriately quiet environment. We will most certainly be going back!!

Went for a solo dinner during happy hour time! They have $1 oysters but it's limited to only 12 oysters per person which is something not posted on their website. There are three different drinks at happy hour you can get. The oysters were delicious and they change depending on availability. They give you their five specialty sauces for your oysters. The hamachi was so good I would highly recommend as an app. I also loved their warm soft buttery baguette to cleanse my palate after the oysters! The service was lovely and attentive. No complaints there. It's busy right at opening - ambience is clean, feels spacious even though it's packed, with murmurs of conversations. Good place for date night, celebrating friends, or just a nice night out. Overall, good quality seafood.

This place is definitely on the pricy side so expectations are higher when you pay higher prices. We spent $200 on dinner for two but this did include 2 cocktails each (birthday splurge). We ordered the smoked scallops which come with 'corn pudding, blistered tomatoes, squash, pardons, tomatillo sambal'. Dish came with 3 scallops, green zucchini and like a spoonful of the cord pudding underneath. Basically $40 for a tapa sized dish. 2nd 'entree' was seared kanpachi with miso sesame, bok choy, turnips, green beans, dashi and ginger. I really can't say anything was memorable about this dish except that it was a little too sweet for my taste and we waited nearly 1.5 hours for it. The appetizers were better than the entrees. We ordered the salad of smashed cucumbers, melons, black tahini, feta and pistachio dukkah. Overall a very tasty dish. We also got the ahi tuna tartare with chili crisp, yuzu aioli, beech mushrooms, sea beans and crispy wontons. This was definitely my favorite dish and would order again. Overall the dining experience took 2 or so hours as the food took a very long time to come out. A good restaurant but like I said a bit pricey for what you get.

I came here for dinner one evening as a walk-in and I was fortunately able to get a seat at the bar. The inside was dimly lit and felt like the inside of a home--it was very cute. Staff was kind. I ordered a number of their dishes, such as the scallop, potatoes, and calamari, but I also had to give their oysters a try as I heard that they were pretty famous for them. I loved the experience with the oysters. We were given three different kinds and a variety of sauces of mix-and-match to accompany our little dining experience. It was just an overall fun experience to try out the different sauces and the oysters were also delicious. The rest of the dishes were also amazing, but one thing to note is that their portion sizes are a bit on the small side and everything is family style. I highly recommend their fresh seafood as well as their calamari. I believe they do those SO well. I would love to come back here.

The food and experience at Jacqueline are both so special. My friend and I did the "let us cook for you" tasting menu experience where we received 10 courses served family style. The courses started off light and I was worried that I would still be hungry but by the end I was stuffed! The menu is seafood-forward so being from Los Angeles I thought that $90/pp was a great value for what we got. The menu changes based on what is fresh so I won't detail what we received but I did have two favorite items. The squid ink udon noodles with shrimp, squid, crab, spinach and chili crisp butter was packed with umami and you can't go wrong with a good udon noodle! The polenta fritters with 24 month aged serrano ham and green garlic aoli was also a wonderful combination of flavors and a great contrast to all of the seafood courses. They ended the meal with a panna cotta with a candle in it for my birthday, a super nice touch. All of the staff were warm and professional and we loved our meal here. You can order a-la-carte from the menu as well.
